Born in Donegal in 1978, Ann Quinn received a BA in Fine Art from the National College of Art & Design in 2000. Recent solo shows include Taylor Galleries (2021, 2018, 2016, 2013), Dock Arts Centre (2013), and Ashford Gallery (2009). Group shows include the Royal Hibernian Academy Annual Exhibition every year since 2004, Claremorris Open (2015), Galway Arts Centre (2010), Pallas Contemporary Projects (2010, 2009).
Some of the awards she received are a Visual Artists Bursary from the Arts Council (2020,2009), Thomas Dammann Travel Award (2019, 2017, 2015), the K & M Evans Award (2012), the Hennessey Craig Scholarship (2009) . She was awarded fellowships at artist residencies including Ragdale Foundation, Chicago (USA) in 2016, VCCA (USA) in 2014, Centre d' Art I Natura (Spain) in 2015 & 2010, the Fundacion Valpairoso (Spain) in 2014, 2008. Residencies in Ireland include the RHA (2009), Heinrich Boll Cottage (2010), Tyrone Guthrie Centre (2008).
Her work is in the collection of the Irish State, the National Self Portrait Collection of Ireland, Axa Insurance, Health Service Executive, Wesley College, Donegal County Council.
